Over the years I have made many different garments, but paid little attention to footwear. These poulaines are an attempt at fixing that."Poulaines" are the pointy-toed shoes worn in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries as shown in (some picture I haven't found yet). I have used three major sources for my the shoes:
* Shoes and Pattens by Grew and de Neergaard; this book seems to be the most commonly referenced source I have found. Part of the Museu of London series, it has photographs, drawings and patterns for shoes excavated in England from 1000 to 1450. This is the source for the pattern I used.
